Attention all Juniors and Seniors:  It is time to contact your local high school to inform
them if you are planning to take the MME exam next spring. It must be taken at your
own school district. If you are a senior and have not taken it, you may be able to take
it this year. There is new information as of 10/3/08 on the Michigan Merit Examination
website at www.mi.gov/mme. Here is some information from that site.

The Michigan Merit Examination (MME) assesses students in grade 11 (and eligible
students in grade 12) based on Michigan high school standards. It is administered
each spring, and consists of three components:

ACT Plus Writing® college entrance examination
WorkKeys® job skills assessments in reading, mathematics, and "locating information"
Michigan-developed assessments in mathematics, science, and social studies
► A student may not take the MME more than once, pursuant to new Michigan law.
Some exceptions exist. For the latest news regarding this change in law, and
information about a possible alternate way for grade 12 students to still become
eligible for the installment payments of the $4000 Michigan Promise scholarship
without taking the MME a second time, go to www.mi.gov/mme.

Seniors and parents the first graduation meeting will be November 13th.   If you are
interested, please email Mrs Malski at Malski7@aol.com. Information for graduation
should be on the web site this week.

National elections are in just two weeks.  These elections can and probably will
change the course of our nation. Please be in prayer over this election, vote, and
encourage your Christian friends to vote.
