Lauri Adams To All Instructors
My name is Lauri Adams, and I am so excited to work with your students as we learn or perfect theater skills. I love teaching, and am especially passionate about developing in students a sense of confidence on stage in front of a live audience. I also make it a goal to glorify Jesus Christ in all of our choreography, lines, and singing.... both in the classroom and on stage. I have Bachelor's degree with a double major in Speech Communications and English, and have taught in the public school system for over seven years. I have been married to my husband Mark for over 30 years, and we have three children; all who have been very active in theater both in their homeschooling years and young adult years. My granddaughter was also in a musical (Jane Eyre) before she turned one! Theater is what our family does!
I have many years of experience directing several community and school theater musicals in California and Michigan, working with both children and adults in the cast. In California I worked as the assistant to the director for a company called "The Peanut Gallery," which was a children's theater school. I have also directed high school and college puppet teams, both at churches and at the University of California Santa Barbara. When I'm not working on something involving theater, I love laughing with my family, camping in Pentwater, helping out at my daughter's ballet studio, and biking on the roads of beautiful west Michigan.
